I liked the design of The Burrow from Harry Potter so decided to build a small model of it. After my previous models turned out quit heavy I used foam board as the base for this one and it is extremely light in comparison. I started by gathering as much reference as possible and then building it in CG. After that it was simply a case of making lots of windows and carving lots of pieces of wood. I made it trickier for myself by introducing a curved shape to most of it which looked appealing but meant everything had to be hand made so that all the curves fitted together. I put a hole in the base and the top roof is removable so that battery powered lights can be added to the inside. Here is the finished model.
